Recycled Bag
THE PLAN
As mentioned earlier, we live in a throwaway society. With my action, I want to focus mainly on the overuse and disposal of plastic bags. Everyone has a hidden drawer somewhere with an overflow of plastic bags. After several hours of searching, I came across an organisation called "The Creative Voice". They run workshops for children around upcycling, for example. Here they fused plastic bags together and used them as textiles. Now they are fully engaged in a workshop around personalised bag making.
The concrete action plan is the creation of a clear roadmap so that people can recycle at home as well. First and foremost, the roadmap should be easily accessible. It should appeal to people and produce good results in a few clear steps.
The roadmap would go as follows; It first explains in a few steps, how to easily melt the bags into one. Then you can refer to an easy pattern, so you can still make a pouch without any experience. The pouch can be made using both needle and thread, but also, of course, using a sewing machine. Finally, they can choose which closure to use by, for example, using old buttons or zips from old jeans.
In other words the step-by-step plan is for young and old, but will be evaluated among a group of students, who do not study fashion or have any prior knowledge.

Niet alles is aangeduid op de patroondelen, waardoor sommige dingen gokken zijn voor de plaatsing. Het is wel een origineel stappenplan met leuke kleurtjes.

Ik ben heel tevreden met mijn zakje. Super leuk idee om die plastic zakken in mijn huis eens te gebruiken.

Het zou handig zijn mocht het stappenplan een lijst met benodigdheden bevatten. Over het algemeen waren de instructies redelijk duidelijk, wanneer je de foto's van het eindresultaat ziet.

Een waarschuwing over de temperatuur van het strijkijzer was leuk geweest :) Voor de rest heb ik mij geamuseerd met het maken van het tasje.

Ik vond het moeilijk de juiste steken te gebruiken, aangezien ik totaal geen voorkennis heb. Iets meer uitleg over deze steken zou wel handig geweest zijn, eventueel een link naar een Youtube filmpje bijvoorbeeld.
Reflection
My step-by-step plan itself had some working points that need to be adjusted, for example with a link to an additional YouTube video. For example, the stitches are explained more clearly. Maybe also show some photos beforehand, what the end result will be. That way the person in question can form a picture, possibly already have a preference in terms of closure and print. For the rest, I could also add a list of supplies.
The campaign itself went smoothly. It is easy to just forward the link to friends and acquaintances. They can then read through it at their own pace and try it out.
So overall, I am satisfied with the end result. It is a small campaign so with this I could certainly reach a limited audience. However, big problems like air pollution are not going to be solved with this, but every little bit helps of course.
